Wisp is a breathing app. We collect as little as we can, keep most of it on your phone, and never sell it. This page explains what we keep and why.
Who we are
Wisp is made by BITGRASS, a company registered in Tunisia. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means BITGRASS. You can reach us at [email protected].
What stays on your phone
To guide your practice, Wisp remembers a few things. They are stored on your device and never leave it unless you create an account:
- What you'd like help with, like calm or sleep, and how many minutes a day you have.
- Your settings: reminder time, sounds, vibration and appearance.
- Your sessions: which exercise, when, for how long and how many breaths.
- Your progress through the 7-day journey.
Deleting the app removes all of it.
Your account
An account is optional. If you sign in with Google, Apple (on iPhone) or your email, we keep, on our server:
- Your email address, how you signed in, and your name and profile picture if Google or Apple share them.
- The sessions you complete: which exercise, when, for how long, and how you felt afterwards if you told us. This is what lets your progress follow you to another phone.
- The IP address and device type of each phone you're signed in on, to keep your account secure.
We use this only to run your account and keep it safe. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your real address; we then only see the private relay address Apple gives us.
Reminders
Daily reminders are scheduled on your phone by your phone. We don't see when they're set or when they arrive. You can turn them off in Wisp's settings or your phone's settings.
Premium and payments
Premium (a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase) is bought through Google Play or the App Store. They take the payment; we never see your card details. RevenueCat, our purchase provider, checks the store's receipt so the app knows whether Premium is active. To know whether Premium is active, the app sends RevenueCat a random ID (your account ID when you're signed in) and basic device details (platform, app version, country) when it opens. RevenueCat keeps a record of your purchases (product, dates, price, store and country) under that ID, so Premium follows you to another phone.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information.
- We don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
- We don't record audio. Wisp plays sounds but never uses your microphone.
Who else is involved
Only the services Wisp needs to work:
- Google and Apple, for sign-in and payments.
- Railway, which hosts our server and database (in the EU, in the Netherlands).
- Resend, which delivers the sign-in codes we email you.
- RevenueCat, which checks your Premium purchases with Google Play or the App Store.
Each uses your information only to provide that service to us. Some of them are based in the United States, so your information may also be processed there, under the data protection terms they agreed with us.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings → Delete account. Without the app, go to api.wispbreath.app/account/delete or write to [email protected]. This removes your account and your synced sessions from our server, and your purchase record at RevenueCat. It doesn't cancel a subscription: cancel it in Google Play or the App Store (or in Wisp, under Settings → Membership). What's stored on your phone stays until you delete the app.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details while your account exists. When you ask us to delete it, we remove them within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep a record for longer.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete what we hold about you, at any time, by writing to [email protected]. If you live in the EU or UK you also have the right to object and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Wisp isn't meant for children under 13, or under 16 in the EU, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
